Bruna Marquezine speaks out about controversy for wearing a sexy nurse costume

Bruna Marquezine, 26, spoke publicly this Wednesday night (3) about the controversy for wearing a sexy nurse costume on Halloween. In a statement published on her social networks, the actress said that she respects all nursing professionals and sees them as “heroines”.

“It would never be my intention to cause any devaluation to the class in choosing a Halloween costume,” he wrote.

On Wednesday (3), the Regional Nursing Council of São Paulo (Coren-SP) and the Federal Nursing Council (Cofen) released notes in which they repudiated the costume used by the actress. “This type of sexual connotation is inadmissible in a misogynist, sexist and violent country like Brazil. What may seem like a harmless gesture, in fact, contributes to eroticize the image of a profession that has historically suffered from harassment, violence and abuse psychological of all kinds,” says Cofen.

In his response, Marquezine said he strives for women to “have freedom and respect in all environments and in all their professional and personal choices.” “I regret that I did not know about this topic before, but that this discussion truly serves as an opportunity for learning and transformation,” he says.
