Lucas Souza, husband of singer Jojo Todynho, used social media this Saturday (29) to announce that the two are no longer together. The statement comes shortly after the military announced the end of the marriage, but was denied by the funkeira.
“I’m passing by to give you some news: me and Jojo are no longer together,” he said. “We decided to put an end to the relationship this week. I believe that this time there is no turning back. Our relationship was good until a certain point, but it ended.”
Jojo and Lucas got married in January. At the beginning of the month, the couple already showed signs of mismatch. On the 8th, the singer said she was not aware of the end of the relationship, after her husband used social networks to say yes. The soldier said that, at the time, the two had already talked.
“Before you start speculating about the reasons for the breakup, I’ll tell you, I would never announce the breakup on Instagram without talking to her,” he said. “I would never announce the breakup if it weren’t for a plausible reason.”
He said that, at the time, he decided to take the blame for the episode because Jojo has a lot of public exposure. However, he said he was not satisfied with the result. “I exposed myself and came off as wrong for her sake, but I wasn’t wrong,” he said.
Shortly before the first public disagreement, Jojo revealed on her show that she had been her husband’s first wife. He did not confirm whether this was one of the triggers. “It was a quick attitude, however, it was due to a situation she did with me that I felt betrayed”, she said.
“It’s not up to me to explain here because I don’t want to expose her, but every situation generates a reaction”, he continued. “So, in this situation where I felt betrayed, it generated another reaction. And I was already warning her several times and she nothing. So, I took this attitude, but with a gigantic heartache.”
The soldier said he had already left the house where the two lived together. “To my family and friends, I’m passing by to say I’m fine, I’m in a hotel, I’ve already rented a place for me to stay temporarily,” he said. “I had to get my things out of the house in a hurry, I’m in a hotel temporarily. I intend to stay in Rio because of work, but unfortunately, my life isn’t here. It’s okay.”
Jojo has yet to publicly comment on the (new) end of the marriage. While Lucas made the announcement on social media, she posted videos dancing and saying she was nervous about the Flamengo game.
