New Zealand singer Lorde, 25, who will be at the Primavera Sound festival in São Paulo on November 6, took to social media on Monday (31) to say that she is excited to perform at such a special moment in Brazil with Lula’s victory in the second round of elections.

“So excited and honored to be with you right now. Lula – thank you God – thank you God,” the singer wrote in a post on Instagram stories. After the festival, she returns for a new show in Rio de Janeiro, on January 8, 2023.

Several Internet users made comments about the elections in an old post of the singer on the social network. “Too happy day with Lula elected president of the country, Lord. We see democracy, science, respect and hope being elected. Relief”, commented an internet user.

Other users of the social network limited themselves to writing only “Lula” with heart emojis in the comments of the post.

The Primavera Sound festival, which has been taking place since 2001 in Barcelona, Spain, debuts for the first time in Brazil, on the weekend of November 5th and 6th. It often brings together artists from pop, rock, rap and indie music.

In addition to Lorde, important national and international music artists have already been confirmed, such as Arctic Monkeys, Björk, Travis Scott and Lorde, as well as national stars, such as Hermeto Pascoal and Tim Bernardes. Gal Costa, who would sing her 1971 album “Fa-Tal – Gal a Todo Vapor”, canceled the performance because of surgery.
