Sophia Manou and George Dovolos sing, accompanied by the “KANON” Orchestra of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens
The Service for Organizing Musical Events, Byzantine and European Music and Recordings and the Ecclesiastical Foundation of Byzantine and Traditional Music of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, in collaboration with the Holy Church of Agios Demetrius of Arms, are organizing an original thematic concert entitled “The Lady of Rho”.
The concert will take place on Friday November 4th and time 7 p.m. at Technopolis in Gazi, at the “Miltiadis Evert” Amphitheater at Aeriofylakio 1.
The concert is dedicated to an iconic personality, the Miss Achladiotisthe Lady of Roe. A modern Greek woman, who “guarded Thermopylae” and raised the blue and white flag to the glory of the Greek land for decades. A concert, also, dedicated to thousands of ordinary everyday people, who with patriotism and selflessness, lived and even sacrificed their own lives for Greece.
