In the first big event that brought together the artistic class after the election of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) for president of the Republic, last Sunday (30), the political subject still dominated the conversation circles, in the award “O Men of the Year 2022”, at Copacabana Palace, this Thursday (3)

While few commented exclusively on the hope of an effective change in the area of culture, most of the celebrities went deeper into the topic. Presenter and actor Paulo Vieira was one of them. “We entered a moment of building bridges and making peace with those we fought with. I couldn’t bear to fight anymore”, he pointed out.

Paulo Vieira, who was in the trio where Lula spoke on Avenida Paulista after his victory at the polls was confirmed, admitted that he was also tired of seeing that newspapers have recently become obituaries of things that “were dying, were being destroyed”. .

“We were very attacked in this government. When I speak, we, I speak the black people, the artist people, the northeastern people, the gay people. The next government, we will have peace, president and administration”, commented the actor who delivered the Man of the Year award in the Digital Content category for Casimiro, at the “O Men of the Year 2022” Award, at Copacabana Palace, this Thursday (3).

He swore that he did not know who will be the Minister of Culture in the Lula government. “I don’t know about anyone. Me? No. My schedule is full and I’m not even old enough. I’m only 29 years old. Nobody takes a 29-year-old man seriously”, joked Paulo Vieira, who came to Cássia Kis’s defense.

“She is my friend. I really like her and respect her as an actress. Having a Cássia Kis is part of our democratic process, which is to respect the other’s opinion, however absurd it may be”, explained Paulo Vieira.

He also spoke about the participation of Cidália’s interpreter in “Travessia” in the anti-democratic demonstrations of supporters of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) on the Day of the Dead, in Rio. “It’s not for me to judge. She will answer the story.”
