Mônica Bergamo: Thelminha will host a birthday party for 500 people with Fundo de Quintal and Mocidade Alegre

The doctor, presenter and former BBB Thelma Assis, Thelminha, will host the Sambadela party on the 20th. The event, which will celebrate her birthday and take place on Black Awareness Day, brings together around 500 friends and influencers on the guest list – most of them black.

“We constantly see great events happening, but few giving prominence to black celebrities”, says the ex-BBB about her choices. The group Fundo de Quintal, singer Marquinhos Sensação and sambistas from Mocidade Alegre are among the planned attractions.

Based in São Paulo, the party will also mark the beginning of Thelminha’s preparation for the 2023 Carnival. She has been parading for more than 18 years in São Paulo’s revelry, and this year she made her debut in Rio de Janeiro.
