Amber Heard he finally gets her support Gloria Steinem and feminist groups. Activist Gloria Steinem has officially come out in support of Heard.

The 36-year-old actress has suffered what she says has been public humiliation since losing a multimillion-dollar defamation lawsuit against her ex-husband. Johnny Depp and the 88-year-old activist is one of 130 signatories – from various feminist groups – who signed an open letter to her on Wednesday. The letter supports the actress against this treatment.

Academy Award-nominated director Amy Ziering (“The Invisible War”) also signed the letter.

Heard was found guilty of defaming Depp in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she accused the actor of domestic abuse.

Heard was ordered to pay $10.35 million to her accused “abuser.” In his legal battle, Depp appealed part of the verdict, saying the jury had found him and that the one defamation charge he won in their bombshell trial was “wrong.”

Recall that Amber recently changed lawyers again in her attempt to get two insurance companies to foot the multi-million dollar defamation bill. The actress was ordered to pay her ex-husband millions in damages at the end of the explosive defamation trial in June.

The actress recently hired Kirk Pasich on her legal team in an effort to get insurance companies to cover the amount. “Puck” claims Amber Heard’s expenses ballooned to more than $8 million before the Virginia trial even began.
