Aerosmith, the best-selling American hard rock band of all time is lending a helping hand to Florida following the devastating hurricanes Ian and Nicole by donating two community emergency vehicles to the Red Cross of Central Florida.
The two vehicles are in the production stage. According to the press release they will be delivered in the spring and will feature the band’s notable ‘Walk This Way’ logo.
Guitarist Joe Perry, who lives in Sarasota, Florida, said in a statement that they are all “devastated by the devastating impact of Hurricane Ian.” We are proud to support the Red Cross and know these vehicles will be an important tool to people in need for years to come.”
Notably, Red Cross emergency vehicles are being used to deliver hot meals to affected families. Since Ian first threatened Florida, Red Cross volunteers have helped distribute 1.7 million meals and more than 400,000 emergency supplies, according to the release.
