It doesn’t have anything like Halkidiki – Lonely Planet also agrees

The ultimate travel magazine Lonely Planet includes Halkidiki in the list of top destinations for 2023.

Lonely Planet writes to the reader: “Whether you’re looking for the perfect meal or a unique getaway, travel is about exploring the destination and the road that leads to it.”

Halkidiki – a unique destination of our country – with unique beaches and breathtaking natural beauty, is often not included in travel lists as, located in Northern Greece, it is less known to travelers who traditionally choose the Aegean or Ionian islands and ignore this unique option.

As always, however, Lonely Planet, which is known as a point of reference for “sophisticated” travelers makes the difference and puts the beautiful Halkidiki in the frame.

In the same category as Halkidiki are Jamaicathe Dominicathe Indonesiathe Malta and the Jordan.

Lonely Planet’s list of recommendations is also surrounded by culinary destinations with the first places being occupied by Umbria (Italy), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Fukuoka (Japan), Lima (Peru), South Africa and Montevideo (Uruguay).

However, Lonely Planet reminds their readers that in the wake of the pandemic, they should keep their thirst for new knowledge and experiences alive and – as always – the best way to achieve this is by traveling to beautiful destinations. “Travel and delve further into the knowledge you want to acquire” concludes the Lonely Planet article.
