The famous actor Chris Hemsworth has announced his decision to stop work for a while and spend time with his family, after discovering that he has a genetic predisposition to Alzheimer’s.

The Thor star, although only 39, recently discovered that his DNA has a duplicate APOE4 gene, which makes him 8-10 times more likely to develop the degenerative disease in the future.

In fact, the 39-year-old Australian actor learned about his predisposition after being tested, as part of the Disney+ documentary series, “Limitless.”

In fact, this is an extremely rare case that affects only 2-3% of the population.

After the shocking diagnosis, the actor began to “close” his professional backlogs in order to take time to take care of himself and devote himself to his wife and children.

“When you’re predisposed to… anything, it’s all about managing your sleep, stress, diet and fitness. You have to take care of yourself as best you can,” he himself advised the audience, explaining his decision to retire from acting for a while.

After wrapping up the US promotional campaign for his new documentary series “Limitless”, Chris Hemsworth returned to Australia with his wife, Elsa Pataky, to be with their three children, India, Sasha and Tristan.
