The new Princess of Wales and wife of Crown Prince William made a truly “royal” appearance yesterday at the state dinner hosted by King Charles for the South African president.
In her first official appearance as a princess (until Elizabeth’s death she was a duchess), Kate Middleton wowed everyone in a white dress but mostly because she wore the beloved tiara of the late Princess Diana – thus honoring the memory of her mother-in-law, although he never met her.
This state dinner held special significance for William and Kate as it was their first public appearance – an obligation as the Prince and Princess of Wales and future kings of Britain.
