Andressa Urach, 35, gave her version of the recent forced admission to a psychiatric hospital in a video posted on YouTube. The model and former runner-up Miss Butt admitted she had a “breakout” but said it was caused by a substance she allegedly slipped into her drink by an unknown person.

Urach explained that she took a while to speak on medical advice, but that she decided to speak because her husband, Thiago Lopes, gave an interview talking about the subject. “He’s putting it in a way that’s not the truth,” she said. “I just didn’t speak up before because I was guided by the doctors not to answer, not to speak, as it could cause me stress.”

According to her, the outbreak would have occurred on October 30, when she would have been drugged by an unknown person. “Someone put me something to drink, I don’t know who, but I got a disconnect, I believed that Jesus would come back at that exact moment, on that day,” she said, recalling that she is diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

On the occasion, according to Lopes, she even offered the couple’s son, Leon, 9 months old, as a sacrifice. The model says that, although the situation got out of control, hospitalization was not necessary. “My excellent husband called the police, who took me to the front of the house, then Samu arrived and they took me to the psychiatric hospital here in Rio Grande do Sul”, she reported. “He forcibly committed me.”

She also said that she tried to refuse the medication they were offering. “At the hospital, I didn’t want to take the medicine, but I didn’t pose a danger to the nurses, the doctors,” she said. “I spit out the medication and had to be tied up. Then they gave me injections so I could go out. When I woke up, I was hospitalized, inside a psychiatric hospital, thanks to my husband.”

Urach also said that he left the institution thanks to the help of his mother, Marisete, and said that Lopes has not let her see her son since then. “My husband traveled to São Luís do Maranhão with my nine-month-old baby, without my authorization”, she said. “Since he didn’t bring Leon, I’ve been begging him since the day I got out of the hospital.”
