Mônica Bergamo: ‘Happiness in life is different from having fame or money’, says Marina Ruy Barbosa to Cidade Jardim magazine

Actress Marina Ruy Barbosa will star on the cover of the December issue of Cidade Jardim magazine. To the publication, she talks about her first project in English, the series “Rio Connection”, in which she plays a nightclub singer, and her experience as a woman in the corporate environment.

“Right now, I’m undertaking and performing so many other roles”, says Marina, who has just opened the first physical store in São Paulo for her clothing brand, Ginger. “But acting is something I’ll do for the rest of my life,” she adds.

The photo shoot for the publication was held at the Jockey Club in São Paulo and sought to reflect the actress’s passion for horses and nature —a theme she also talks about in the interview.

About to complete 20 years of career, Marina says that she still has dreams to fulfill and that she wants to be prepared for new challenges. “But I try to be calm and understand that, at 27 years old, I have matured and I try to be kinder to myself. Happiness in life is different from having fame or money.”

The December edition of Cidade Jardim magazine will be distributed free of charge at Shopping Cidade Jardim and Shops Jardins, in São Paulo, starting on Monday (28). The publication will also be made available for download on the CJ Fashion website.
