The name of Gusttavo Lima, 33, became one of the most commented subjects on social networks this Monday (28) due to an alleged political dissatisfaction that would make him sell his mansion and leave the country.
Quickly, many accounts and profiles on the internet began to viralize the information that he would have said that without Bolsonaro in power, he would no longer be interested in living in the country.
However, this is fake news. Sought, the singer said through his advisory that it’s all a lie, that the mansion where he lives in Goiânia is not for sale and that there is no interest in living elsewhere.
It is worth remembering that Lima is one of the leaders of the pro-Jair Bolsonaro (PL) movement of sertanejo artists. Gusttavo Lima went to support him in BrasÃlia (DF). This was one of the most expressive declarations of support for the president among the sertanejos, who were slow to take a political position on social networks or at their concerts.
But this is far from Gusttavo Lima’s worst moment of the year. In 2022, the musician was in some controversies.
In June, he found himself involved in what became known as the “CPI of the sertanejo”, which investigated the diversion of funds in cities for the hiring of large shows. Lima was the target of three investigations by the Public Ministry.
It was proven that Gusttavo Lima’s fees had variations of up to 50%. If in a small town in Roraima he charged R$ 800 thousand, in another, in Minas Gerais, the value rose to R$ 1.2 million. Discussions like this detonated an unprecedented crisis for the sertanejos and put the Public Ministry on the heels of city halls in Minas Gerais, Roraima, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso and Bahia .
More recently, in October, a resident of Pará de Minas (MG) won a lawsuit against the singer Gusttavo Lima because of the telephone number he discloses in the song “Bloqueado”. The information was confirmed by the Court of Justice of Minas Gerais.
Now, Lima will have to pay R$ 10,000 to the elderly man who has the same number and complains that he has received prank calls and unwanted messages since the song was released. On YouTube, the clip already exceeds the mark of 230 million views.
The case was disclosed in January, but only now had a resolution. When contacted, Lima did not respond to requests, but at the time his legal team claimed that he was just the performer of the song. The singer did not attend the hearing.
In early November, Lima had to cancel some shows he was going to do in the Northeast because of the coup acts that made it impossible to cross some highways across the country.
However, his team had to deny rumors that he would continue without making presentations in that region of the country until Lula’s (PT) inauguration, in January 2023. “That doesn’t exist”, declared his advisory.
