The couple’s assets will be divided as set out in the prenuptial agreement

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West they were officially divorced. The SKIMS founder and the 45-year-old rapper have finalized their split, with the exes reaching an agreement on child custody and property.

According to the divorce papers, as People magazine writes, the former couple will have joint physical and legal custody of their four children: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.

The rapper should pay to Kim Kardashian $200,000 a month in child support. He will also be responsible for half of the children’s medical, educational and insurance expenses.

The couple also agreed to settle their differences regarding the children by participating in mediation. However, if either party fails to take part, the other party is allowed to make the decision in a default dispute.

The couple’s assets will be divided as set out in the prenuptial agreement.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West they began dating in 2012 and married in May 2014. Their marriage ended in crisis at the height of West’s public outbursts in 2020 after he launched a controversial US presidential bid and revealed deeply personal details about his family and marriage on the campaign trail and on Twitter.

Kim then addressed his bipolar diagnosis in a rare public statement, asking her fans for compassion and acknowledging their complicated and painful condition.

The famous TV personality then filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021, after nearly seven years of marriage. Months later, in December, she asked to be declared legally free. She also requested that the issues of child custody and property be separated from her marital status and that her maiden name be restored.

In court documents filed in February, Kardashian said: “I really want a divorce. I asked Kanye to keep our divorce a secret, but he didn’t. Kanye has posted a lot of misinformation on social media about our private family matters and our co-parenting relationship, which has created emotional distress. I believe that the court ending our marital status will help Kanye accept that our marital relationship is over and move on to a better path that will help us peacefully co-custody our children.”

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star added: “While I wish our marriage had worked, I have come to realize that there is no way to fix our marriage. Kanye doesn’t agree, but at least he seems to realize that I want to end our marriage, even if he doesn’t. I am asking the Court to reinstate me as a single person so that I can begin the healing process and I wish the same for our children.”
