Cantor Maurílio shows improvement, but remains in the ICU in serious condition

Country singer Maurílio, who is paired with Luiza, is still hospitalized in serious condition at the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital Jardim América, in Goiás, but has improved compared to the day before. The artist got sick while recording a DVD in the city of Goiânia (GO) and suffered three cardiac arrests.

According to the bulletin shared by the musician’s advisors, he should start this Thursday night (16) a hemodialysis therapy to treat a kidney injury, probably secondary to pulmonary thromboembolism –obstruction of one of the pulmonary arteries– and cardiac arrest. He is receiving “care from a multidisciplinary team of diverse specialists”.

The medical bulletin highlights that hemodialysis was already being analyzed by the medical team and is a common and transitory procedure in cases such as the singer. He underwent an ultrasound examination of the lower limbs and “thrombi were identified [coágulos] in the venous system of the right leg, something that is also expected in patients with similar conditions.”

This Wednesday afternoon, the artist showed an improvement in the hemodynamic state –movements and pressures of blood circulation– compared to the morning period. “Since this is a dynamic situation, new exams will be carried out throughout the day to adjust the therapeutic planning”.

In Stories on Instagram, Luana Ramos, Maurílio’s wife, recorded videos of the hospital saying that in the last 24 hours he had significantly improved, despite his serious condition. “We are confident, and I wanted to ask you here for support, prayer and positive thoughts, that he will come out of this situation,” he said.

“He’s responding to medications and reacting,” she added. Afterwards, Ramos thanks the messages of support he has been receiving and asks fans to pay attention to official notes about the singer’s health.

This Wednesday (15), Work Show, the office that handles the duo’s performances, released a statement about the cancellation of two shows they would do, on the 17th and 18th, in the cities of Sorriso and Glória d’Oeste, both in Mato Grosso Thick.

Luiza used her social media to ask for prayers. “Please pray. That’s all I ask with all the humility in the world. Dedicate a prayer to Maurilio, please,” she wrote in the caption of the communiqué also shared by her.

Maurílio’s wife, Luana Ramos, also asked for prayers for the singer in their hammocks. “Pray for Maurílio! Pray for his health and for his life! This is a time for prayer! He is strong, he will win. He has already won! The victory is His,” he wrote.
