Gabily confirms fight with Anitta for alleged plagiarism: ‘We had a mismatch’

by

The singer Gabily, 27, spoke about her fight with Anitta, 29. Alongside the digital influencer Vanessa Lopes, 21, she commented in an interview with PodCats about an alleged plagiarism and gave more details about what happened between her and the artist nominated for the Grammy. “Nowadays we don’t talk anymore, but I admire her work.”

A few months ago Gabily accused someone of plagiarism on her networks, without naming names. The publication came shortly after Anitta launched a partnership with the Free Fire game. “People take your idea in the face and pass you backwards, without pity! This just confirms to me that I was never the wrong one”, he said at the time.

In the conversation, Gabily said that she was disappointed with Anitta and confirmed that the fight happened at the time. “I’ve always respected, I’ll always respect, a lot what Anitta means to me. But we had a mismatch because of a project that I even talked about on the internet, before talking to her on WhatsApp.”

“I sent the prints because it was something very similar to what I had shown her two years before she released it”, he explained. Gabily said that, after the conversation with Anitta, her outburst ended up gaining more repercussions and the disagreement between the two increased.

“I ended up posting [uma indireta] on my social network, before I talk to her [Anitta]🇧🇷 And then after I talked to her, I understood. Only this thing that I posted and deleted reverberated after three days, “she explained.

She says she still suspects if everything wasn’t set up to generate a bigger mess. “It seems that someone planted that there, because I had already resolved it with her. Then this thing that I posted reverberated and she said: ‘Wow, I said that the conversation would stay between us. Now you posted the thing on your social network?’.”
