Carolina Dieckmann says she has already overcome the episode of leaked nudes: ‘Positive things came later’

Exactly ten years ago, Carolina Dieckmann, 44, was scared by the proportion that had taken the leak of her photos. In some of them, the actress appeared naked and, with social networks in effervescence, there was no other. They quickly went viral.

The images began to be shared quickly by groups and online pages, but the Justice also acted quickly. At the end of that year, 2012, a law named after the actress was enacted to punish those who committed virtual crimes.

It was a happy ending to an unpleasant episode and, according to Dieckmann, completely over. “I’m happy to have an important law as a result. I don’t even remember the pain I felt anymore, they are smaller than the positive things that happened afterwards”, she says, in an interview with F5🇧🇷

The actress will return to soap operas starting in January with one of the main characters in “Vai na Fé”, the next plot at 7 pm that will replace “Cara e Coragem”. The daily appearance on TV represents a return to the country, as she spent the last six years more in the United States than in Brazil.

“I wanted to have time dedicated to the family, to take the youngest [José, 15] at school, giving food, experiencing something I had never experienced before, really being a housewife, with all that that means”, says Dieckmann, 30 years into her career. Check out the full interview below🇧🇷

What will your character be like in “Vai na Fé”, the next story at 7 pm?

It is Lumiar, a methodical, pragmatic woman who focuses on work and, at the same time, is lucky to have a partner in her life. [Ben, o ator Samuel de Assis]🇧🇷 Both love each other, admire each other. When the plot begins, he is questioning some aspects of his professional life, and my character is not. This will be the first drama for the two.

What could this issue generate in their relationship?

He wants to take a gap year, but she wants to conquer the world. [ambos viverão advogados criminalistas na novela de Rosane Svartman]🇧🇷 The nucleus still has Theo (Emilio Dantas), a dubious character, who will mess with this couple. Another curiosity is that Lumiar hates its own name and also does not identify with the birthplace it had. She is a workaholic, she doesn’t stop working.

What characteristics of her do you see in yourself?

Lumiar is very confident, firm, has self-esteem and focus on life. I see her like this. And we are very different, because I have this side that she rejects, which has to do with meditation, balance, not focusing on just one thing. Lumiar doesn’t want to be a mother, and I wouldn’t know who I would be if I didn’t have children.

You stayed away from TV for a while (the last plot was ‘The Seventh Guardian, in 2018). How was that period?

I was doing soap operas until I moved to Miami [em 2016]🇧🇷 I was in ‘The Rules of the Game’ and I only went to the United States six months after my husband [o diretor de TV Tiago Worcman]🇧🇷 I asked Globo for a semester break from Globo to make this change, to get my son to adapt to a new country. I spent more time with my family and living what I wanted.

What made you decide to leave the country?

I wanted to have time dedicated to them, take the youngest [José, 15] at school, giving food, taking care of the house and experiencing something I had never experienced before, actually being a housewife, with all that that means. And then I went back and did ‘O Sétimo Guardião’ (2018). I worked what I could work with and did what I could do. It was a confusing moment as I had to split up. And, at the same time I wanted to be in the United States in one piece, I felt guilty for not being there.

In those six years in Miami, what did you miss most about Brazil?

Living with people who are part of everyday life and who are very important, being at some birthdays, celebrations. This was difficult when I lived abroad, away from my family.

You are completing 30 years of career. What balance does it make?

In November 2022, I completed the 30 years of my first contract, but the debut was in April or May 1993 [na novela ‘Sex Appeal’]🇧🇷 Just thinking that at 44 I already have 30 in my profession is something very big in my existence.

Do you regret or would you change anything in that time?

I don’t regret it. Of course in adolescence [no primeiro trabalho ela tinha 14 anos] I already had a lot of adult responsibility. It was a time when I was experiencing issues such as first love, body changes, and I was already working, living with adults. Looking back there are things I didn’t experience at that time, but it doesn’t bring me regrets, no. Would do it all over again.

Ten years ago, the subject of the leak of her nude photos was in the spotlight. What do you remember about it?

Today is ten years of a sanctioned law [apelidada com o nome dela e que visa punir crimes na internet]🇧🇷 I’m always very proud. Impressive as a sad moment… A lemon turned into a lemonade. I am happy to have resulted in an important law with an affectionate nickname that needed to exist. Today it is impossible to think of everything without legislation. Currently, I don’t even remember the pain I felt anymore, they are smaller than the positive things that happened after the case came to light.
