Netflix has already come under fire for allegedly using misleading footage and photos in the two trailers

Netflix has already released two trailers for its highly anticipated docu-series Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which is expected to light new “fires” at Buckingham Palace. However, the drama has already begun with Netflix already under fire for allegedly using footage and photos in the two trailers in a misleading manner.

The trailers show archive footage and photos as Prince Harry and Meghan talk about being ostracized by the royal family and hounded by the media. However, at least three such images are believed to have been taken from events unrelated to the couple.

In particular, according to the BBC, there are claims that an image showing the couple sidelined during a royal family event was cut. But in reality, it was front and center.

Also, a photo has been used in the trailer which shows how the press invades the couple’s life. But the truth is that this photo was taken at an event attended by a small number of photographers whose presence was controlled and agreed in advance.

Netflix and the Sussexes’ production company Archewell have yet to comment.

The first part of the documentary will be shown next Thursday, December 8 on Netflix.
