The fee that country singer Gusttavo Lima received to participate in the Mega da Virada commercial in 2021 is under 100-year secrecy by determination of President Jair Bolsonaro.

The 100-year secrecy is provided for in Article 31 of the Access to Information Law and is restricted to personal data related to “intimacy, private life, honor and image”. The text establishes one hundred years as the maximum period for this type of secrecy – that is, the period may be shorter.

The information on the inclusion of information from the sertanejo’s cache in the secrecy list was reported by the Movimento Country portal. Also according to the publication, the Transparency Portal states that Caixa Econômica Federal disbursed more than R$ 10 million for the campaign, but the allocation and use of the money were not revealed, and the payment made to the singer is under the presidential decree.

Lima, who this year had payments with public resources questioned, starting the movement that became known as “CPI do Sertanejo”, is a supporter of the president and a friend of the family. During the campaign, Bolsonaro was criticized by President-elect Lula for also imposing secrecy in the process that investigates Flávio Bolsonaro in the case of “cracks”.

Sought by F5, the singer did not want to comment on the subject until the publication of this report.
