Known as Falcão do Funk, musician MC Daniel gave up going to Farofa da Gkay out of respect for actress Mel Maia. The artist was already in Fortaleza, Ceará, when he decided he would return to Rio de Janeiro to be with Maia, who couldn’t make it to Gkay’s party.
“Moment passes… when I’m sad, she’s with me, she goes to work and can’t go, if it was to enjoy it, it had to be with her by my side”, wrote the artist on his Instagram profile. In Stories, he also commented on the decision, saying that the party would give “a margin of error” for his relationship.
“I decided to follow my heart,” he began, recording the video at the airport. “Everything was fine, but I kept thinking. There was going to be ‘the time’ but it could go wrong. She’s with me in everything, and when it’s to enjoy I go without her? It’s a lack of respect.”
The two have even recorded Stories together, at Mel Maia’s house. The artist could not go to the event due to her work schedule. She is cast in the upcoming 7 pm telenovela “Vai na Fé” (Globo), in which Guiga, a law student, fashionista and arrogant and futile influencer, will play.
Despite never having publicly assumed their relationship, the two share a lot of content together and don’t break up. In the last week, they even watched Brazil’s World Cup game together, and have been making passionate declarations on social media.
