Luciana Gimenez has criminal complaint against Jorge Kajuru filed by the STF

The presenter Luciana Gimenez, 52, had her criminal complaint against senator Jorge Kajuru (Cidadania-GO) for insult and defamation filed by the STF (Supreme Federal Court). This happened after his lawyers were not able to clearly impute in the file the criminal fact for which Kajuru is accused.

The information is from the STF itself made available to the F5. According to the lawsuit, Luciana felt offended after Kajuru gave an interview to Antonia Fontenele’s Na Lata channel in March. In the chat, the senator referred to Gimenez as a “professional woman”, “disqualified woman” and “woman of interest”.

Kajuru appealed to the STF and now got this positive outcome. Due to formalities, it is necessary to identify the criminal fact in the records, but this was not done. Sought, Luciana Gimenez through her press office said she would not comment on the case.

In April, the Court of Justice of Rio ruled that the lawsuit filed by the presenter against the senator was not the competence of the 52nd Civil Court. In the process, Gimenez sought to receive R$98,500 for a court credit, from a sentence brought to protest in another lawsuit, which she had won against Kajuru. The São Paulo Court then ruled that the senator no longer mention Luciana’s name with a daily fine of R$20,000 if he failed to comply. Judge Valentino Aparecido de Andrade, of the 1st Civil Court of São Paulo, determined the sentence.

The presenter had already filed a lawsuit against the senator, in 2004, who, according to lawyer Lucas Clemente Guimarães de Diaz, has already been defeated and is currently in the sentence fulfillment phase in Rio de Janeiro. The reason for this process was because he made comments about her professional behavior on the program Boa Noite, Brasil (RedeTV!).
