Every year at such a time, movie nights are a favorite habit. Always a night out with a movie is a good idea if you want to relax, but things get even better as Christmas approaches. Certainly Christmas movies are fun and we love to watch them, but there are some that do not exactly focus on the celebration, nor on the romance of the time.
They basically evolve during the holiday season, but the main story is different. We chose such for today. Five movies with an interesting story (whether we’re talking about ” The Holiday ” or ” How the Grinch Stole Christmas ”) that we want to see again and again.

Love, Actually (Amazon Prime)
“Love Actually” follows the lives of eight different people, who each deal with their love life in their own way. The stories take place a month before Christmas in London. The glamorous cast includes Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Keira Knightley, Chiwetel Ejiofor and others.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Netflix, Amazon Prime)
Jim Carrey in a role that would surely never bring him an Oscar, but marked his career. The Grinch intends to ruin Christmas for all the people of Whoville. But will he succeed? Get in the perfect Christmas mood, with melomakarona and kourabiedes, so that no Grinch destroys your Christmas.
The Polar Express (Netflix)
A child who does not believe much in the spirit of Christmas, begins an exciting journey to the North Pole via the Polar Express. Along the way he takes various life lessons such as that the magic of life never goes out for those who truly believe. The fantasy animated film based on the children’s book of 1985, was visualized in 2004 and still enchants, always with the voice of Tom Hanks in various characters.
Holidate (Netflix)
Sloane and Jackson hate Christmas. The fact that they are both single leads to annoying conversations with their families, until they know each other. Then they decide to be each other’s platonic plus-one for all the holidays of the year. With Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey.
