The 39-year-old foreigner in Thessaloniki is being taken to the prosecutor today, who was arrested yesterday, as he attacked and wounded his 38-year-old roommate and the mother of their child with a sharp object, after he first tried to rape her.
According to the police, yesterday morning, the Immediate Action was notified for an incident of domestic violence while arriving at the couple’s apartment in the city center, the 39-year-old refused to open the door.
The 38-year-old was calling for help and as her life was in danger, the police broke down the door, entered the apartment and managed to remove the 39-year-old from the woman.
The foreigner initially tried to injure himself with the same sharp object and then threatened one of the police officers.
A case was filed against the detainee by the White Tower Security Department for attempted murder, attempted rape, violence against officials and court officials, threat, violation of the Law on Weapons and the Law on Domestic Violence.
The 38-year-old was taken to a city hospital, where she left after receiving first aid.
