Brad Pitt will oversee the major renovation of Miraval Studios at Château Miraval in southern France, an iconic recording studio built in 1977 by French pianist and composer Jacques Lucier.
Over the years, the studio has hosted recordings of Pink Floyd (The Wall), AC / DC, The Cure, Sting, Sade, The Cranberries and many more. It has not been used since the early 2020s.
A music fanatic, the American actor will work on the renovation alongside Emmy-winning French producer and composer Damian Kidar, best known for his collaborations with Brian Eno and Arca.
The new Miraval Studios will honor the past while promoting a new concept for recording, with a stunning view that will surely cultivate any form of creative expression, according to an announcement. Using the wonderful natural light and their “remarkable natural resonance”, Miraval Studios, for which reservations are already being made for the summer of 2022 – will now be as beautiful as their recordings sound, it is noted.
