The saying goes that “the sky is the limit”…

This is of course not the case as it seems for the recently crowned Miss England who stated that her real ambition is not to conquer the catwalks but space as she wants to train as an astronaut.

Jessica Gagen, 27, is already a budding rocket scientist in the final year of her master’s degree in aerospace engineering, and she says she wants to inspire other women to pursue STEM subjects.

The model even states that her dream is to one day educate children from the International Space Station (ISS).

Stunning Jessica, who was crowned Miss England two months ago, will compete for the Miss World title in Spring next year.

After that, she hopes to ditch her gowns and high heels to don a spacesuit and literally become Miss Universe, the first beauty queen ever to visit space.

Jessica explains that after completing her master’s degree at the University of Liverpool, she intends to apply and become an astronaut within the next three years.

She also wants to use the Miss England title to inspire young women to follow their dreams and be successful in male-dominated fields such as engineering.

“I hope that with the title of Miss England, as well as my passion for aerospace, I will show girls that they can follow their dreams and goals and be whatever they want to be,” she says.
