TV director Reynaldo Boury dies at 90

Famous TV director, Reynaldo Boury died this Christmas Sunday (25), aged 90. The cause of death was septic shock. He was admitted to Albert Einstein Hospital.

Over the last ten years, Boury has worked at SBT and has been in charge of children’s productions such as “Carrossel”, “Chiquititas”, “Cúmplices de Um Resgate”, “Carinha de Anjo” and “As Aventuras de Poliana”.

Work partner, actress Larissa Manoela paid tribute to the director on her social media. “My director in three soap operas. His legacy will be maintained, his teachings carried forward and all his genius kept in my memory”, she posted.

Actress Sophia Valverde was one more to publish a message of affection for the professional. “I’m still not believing and crying a lot. I just have gratitude,” she posted.

At the beginning of his career, Boury was on TV Tupi. From 1960 he transferred to TV Excelsior. At the station, he was responsible for directing soap operas such as “Redenção” (1966) and “Sangue do Meu Sangue” (1969).

In 1970, already on TV Globo, he was responsible for the plots “Irmãos Coragem” (1970), “Selva de Pedra” (1986), “Sinhá Moça” (1986), “Tieta” (1990) and “Meu Bem Meu Mal ” (nineteen ninety).

In a statement of regret, SBT says it is saddened by the loss. “SBT wishes that God comforts his family at this time and is sure that his works will always be remembered with great affection by the entire Brazilian public.

The wake and farewell ceremony will be held at the Parque dos Ipês Cemetery and Crematorium.
