Neymar expresses support for Gkay after controversy with Fabio Porchat’s joke: ‘Everything passes’

Neymar expressed support for the comedian and influencer Gkay on his Twitter account. “Gkay, everything passes … Stay well,” wrote the football player.

The tweet divided opinion. “I try to defend you, my friend, but it’s amazing how you are always on the wrong side of history”, wrote Gabriel Gomide. “If Neymar is on Gkay’s side, that means Porchat is more than right”, said internet user Josley.

Gkay is one of the most commented subjects on the internet since Sunday (25). The controversy began when Fabio Porchat said at the Best of the Year 2022 award, on Domingão with Huck, that presenter Jô Soares preferred to die when interviewing Gkay. “That’s why he preferred to leave us. I look at Jô and I keep thinking: ‘What would he do with a Gkay in front of him, Tata?'”, he said on the program.

The influencer went to Twitter to say that she was tired of the jokes. “I don’t know what I did for people to hate me so much, humiliate me so much, day after day and now even on national television, showing that I am a joke in the bad sense for the whole of Brazil,” she wrote.

Porchat, then, defended himself from the criticism, said that he sent a message to Gkay and stated in a video that he had not spoiled the influencer’s Christmas, as she was to blame for having had a bad year.

Some celebrities spoke out about the episode. Humorists left comments on Porchat’s video. “Porchétes, anyone who knows you knows that you are a good person who would never do anything to hurt anyone,” wrote Dani Calabresa.

“That stye over your eye certainly has a name! It starts with G and ends with Kay!”, said actor Lúcio Mauro Filho.

Others were supportive of Gkay after her tweet. The singer and former BBB Gabi Martins wrote: “Be well, Gkay! You are wonderful”.
