From Gisele Bündchen to Shakira, see famous couples who broke up in 2022

At the end of October, Gisele Bündchen, 42, and NFL player Tom Brady, 45, officially announced what everyone already knew (or at least suspected): after 13 years and two children, the two were separating. Divorce made headlines in the foreign press and in Brazil, and it was not the only one, far from it, in the celebrity world, throughout 2022.

One of the most recent separations is that of actor Rafael Cardoso, 36, and influencer Mariana Bridi, 36. They were together for 15 years and have two children. The end of the relationship was confirmed in early December by Bridi on social media. At the time, she said that it is not easy for anyone to end a relationship and asked for respect, affection and understanding from her followers.

After comings and goings, the presenter and singer Jojo Todynho, 25, also used social networks to announce, in early November, the signing of the divorce from the military Lucas Souza. She took the opportunity to tell that she would have a Halloween party to celebrate the end of her marriage. Without revealing the reason for the separation, the military said that “several events” led to the end of the relationship; Jojo said that she no longer recognized the man she married.

Before that, actor Leonardo DiCaprio, 47, and model Camila Morrone, 25, broke up after four years together at the end of August. The end of the relationship gave what to talk about in the press and on social networks, which soon remembered the actor’s history, of only dating women with a maximum of 25 years – most of his relationships ended when the partner reached this age.

Another separation that gave the talk was the Colombian singer Shakira, 45, and soccer player Gérard Piqué, 35, in June. After 11 years together and two children, the former couple announced the separation amidst indications that the athlete was cheating on the singer with student Clara Chía Marti, with whom he publicly assumed a relationship. Shortly after the divorce, Shakira released a song with a clip that talks about the end of a relationship, which made her ex-husband’s girlfriend uncomfortable.

Recently, Spanish paparazzo Jordi Martín, responsible for revealing Piqué’s new affair, claimed that the former Barcelona player cheated on Shakira “at least 50 times” during the time they were together. The statements were given to the Colombian program Lo Sé Todo.

The most curious case, however, is that of Lexa and MC Guimê. They announced their split in October after seven years together. They posted messages on social networks with statements from one another and did not rule out the possibility of getting back together in the future, which in fact happened. On December 27, they announced that they had resumed their marriage.
