In her lawsuit, the woman accuses the singer of coercing her and tricking her into believing the abuse was an official romantic relationship

It seems that the new year for the famous singer, Steven Tyler, it won’t start very well. The singer of the legendary rock group has been sued for sexual abuse against a woman, who was a minor at the time. The events, according to the complaint, occurred in the 1970s when the plaintiff, named Julia Holcombwas 16 years old, while Tyler was 25 years old.

Julia claims that the singer, in addition to attacking her, intentionally caused her emotional distress. According to “Rolling Stones” magazine, Holcomb stated that Tyler convinced her mother to hand over custody of her to him, and so they lived together for more than three years, during which they had several personal contacts.

The woman presented as proof of her accusation Tyler’s own memoirs, where he claims that he “almost married a teenage girl” and that “her parents fell in love with me, signed a document for me to have custody so that they would not arrest me if I I was moving out of state. I took her with me on tour.”

Julia also revealed that she became pregnant in 1975 and had an abortion after Tyler insisted she “drop it.” So far neither the musician nor his lawyers have commented on the lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles. Although the document does not specifically mention Tyler by name, the report said it is the Aerosmith singer.

Steven Tyler said he met Julia after a band concert in Portland, Oregon in 1973. In her lawsuit, the woman accuses the singer of coercing her and leading her to believe the abuse was an official romantic relationship.

She also says that Tyler took her to a hotel and performed inappropriate sexual acts with her on the same night they met, despite knowing her age.

A year later Tyler gained custody of Julia and promised her parents that she would have a better life than they could give her, but in addition to breaking his word, he abused, assaulted, and drugged her and alcohol.

After the abortion, Julia Holcomb moved away from the singer and returned to Portland to start a new life.
