Jane Fonda: I didn’t think I’d be back on the big screen after my divorce

The movie “80 for Brady” will premiere in theaters on February 3

On the occasion of the premiere of the movie “80 for Brady”, the Oscar-winning actress, Jane Fondaspoke to “Entertainment Tonight” and revealed that she didn’t believe in returning to the big screen after her divorce from billionaire Ted Turner.

“I went away for 15 years when I married Ted Turner, and I didn’t think I was going to come back, because when I married him, I thought it was going to be forever,” Fonda said, adding, “but I came back, and honestly, if someone told me that at 85 I would make a film like that, I wouldn’t believe him. I feel very lucky.”

The film is inspired by the true story of four friends and fans of the New England Patriots, who in their 80s decide to take a trip that will change their lives. It also stars Tom Brady, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, Rob Gronkowski and Sally Field.

Directed by Kyle Marvin, it opens in theaters on February 3.
