“How do you keep yourself young like this?”; “What is the secret of your good shape?”. On the eve of her 50th birthday, Letícia Spiller had everything to be tired of hearing the same question, the same comments on the networks and the same litany (pleasant but, even so, tiring). But she says she’s cool with it – as long as they respect the experienced professional that she is.
“There are more than three decades of work”, recalls the actress, who has been active for 35 years. “I have a happy life, with choices I’m proud of. So when praise comes, I appreciate it.” Among the choices he is proud of are a life connected to nature, with healthy habits. “I’ve always taken care of myself, I think I’m reaping the results”, she says, when talking once again about beauty and good shape.
Not everything is flowers, however, in the fans’ relationship with Letícia. For some time now, they’ve been obsessed with picking on the actress’s husband. They think it falls far short, aesthetically speaking. In plain English: netizens consider her too beautiful for the Uruguayan musician Pablo Vares and, believe me, they see themselves entitled to make nasty comments -“Looks like a beggar”, they even wrote about him.
Married for about six years to the artist, Spiller claims she doesn’t care what they say and is very happy by his side. “Pablo surprises me with the greatness of his spirit. He manages to turn negative criticism into light and that’s good. He manages to bring light to this culture of cancellation, negativism and hate that there is on the internet”, she says.
In professional life, Spiller lives a good phase after the end of his contract with Globo, where he worked since the very beginning of his career. She left the station in 2021. “I love being on the move, moving between productions. I have a beautiful and solid history with TV Globo and I am sure that, soon, I will have some work on open TV. works that, with this new contract model, allowed me to do.”
She finished recording the series “A História Delas” (Star+), still without a premiere date, in which she plays one of the four female protagonists, and will also be in the second season of the series “Cidade Invisível” (Netflix), scheduled for the first semester. “It was a job that took me completely out of any comfort zone,” she says.
While the two series do not debut, Leticia can be seen in the reruns of the soap operas “Quatro por Quatro” (1994) and “O Rei do Gado” (1996), on Globoplay. The two are very close to the heart of the actress, for different but complementary reasons. In the first, she was the Babalu manicurist, a role that definitely raised her to stardom. It was also where she met Marcello Novaes, whom she ended up marrying.
Two years later, in “O Rei do Gado”, she played Giovanna, daughter of Giuseppe Berdinazzi (Tarcísio Meira), the biggest enemy of Antonio Mezenga (Antonio Fagundes). The detail is that at this time she was expecting her first child, Pedro, the result of her relationship with Marcello. “I was very radiant pregnant and having a job eternalizing that moment was beautiful”, she recalls.
