Hugh Jackman Answers What Everyone Was Wondering: ‘I Didn’t Take Anabolics For Wolverine’

by

“I gained weight from eating too many chickens – my karma is not good. If divinity has anything to do with chickens, I have a problem.”

Hugh Jackman denies he used anabolic steroids to transform into Wolverine, the massive and muscular supernatural werewolf

During a recent interview on HBO’s “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace,” the actor answered that he never resorted to using steroids to transform into the superhero character.

“Over the years people have asked: did he take steroids?” host Chris Wallace asked Jackman.

“No, I love my job. And I love Wolverine,” the actor replied.

“I have to be careful what I say here, but I’ve been told what the side effects of these are. And I said, “I don’t like it that much.” So no, I did it the traditional way. And I’m telling you, I’ve eaten more chicken — I feel so sorry for all the vegans and vegetarians and chickens of the world. Literally my karma is not good. If divinity has anything to do with chickens, I’m in trouble.”

Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine in Marvel’s upcoming ‘Deadpool 3’. Production on the film is expected to begin in the spring after Jackman wraps his run in Broadway’s “The Music Man.”
