Valued at BRL 37 million, plane seized from Wesley Safadão is returned

Wesley Safadão, 34, spoke for the first time about the seizure of his plane, valued at R$37 million, in December last year. The singer has already received the jet back, but he is still trying to prove that he acted legally by buying it in a transaction with Francisley Valdevino da Silva, the Sheik of Bitcoin. He assumed he had made an investment in cryptocurrencies in the businessman’s firm.

“I made an investment in cryptocurrencies and then bought the plane. I financed half of it and for a bank to finance something, does it not have to verify that everything is right? There were no restrictions. The bank financed it and then all the turbulence happened in the company of that boy. From the day I entered to the day I left this operation, it took six months”, began Safadão.

The seizure was made in December 2022, following a decision by the Court of Justice of Paraná due to the Federal Police investigation of an alleged financial pyramid scheme disguised as renting cryptocurrencies. The coup moved about BRL 4 billion through fraud and the forrozeiro would have been one of the victims of investments with the “Sheik of Bitcoins”. He acquired the plane as collateral.

“The plane was actually blocked, but just as there is Justice on this side, there is on the other side. So we managed to unblock it (he received the plane back) and it is proving in Justice that the way it was done, It was cool. Not just me, there are several other artists involved in this mess”, said Safadão in an interview with SBT.
