Kevin Costner isn’t the only celebrity stranded by last week’s powerful storms in Southern California
Kevin Costner was ruled out and unable to attend the Hollywood Foreign Correspondent’s Awards ceremony to accept his Golden Globe due to severe weather in Santa Barbara, California.
The “Yellowstone” star announced that he and his wife, Christine Baumgartner, would not be able to attend via video on Twitter before the Golden Globe Awards ceremony.
“Hi to all. Look, sorry to anyone who might have tuned in to watch the Golden Globes — Chris and I won’t be there,” he said.
“Yesterday we had to pull the kids out of school in Santa Barbara. This is the second time in five years that the highway has flooded, we ended up on the wrong side of town and couldn’t get back last night,” he explained.
“No one is sadder than us that we can’t be there at the Golden Globes. Chris had a beautiful dress, I couldn’t wait to walk the red carpet with her,” he added.
Kevin Costner won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series and was presented with the trophy by presenter Regina Hall.
Kevin Costner isn’t the only celebrity stranded by the powerful storms that hit Southern California last week. From Montecito, Ellen DeGeneres shared video from her home with images of the widespread flooding that hit the area.
