Singer Roberto Carlos, 81, and businessman Dody Sirena ended one of the most successful partnerships in Brazilian showbiz. After more than 30 years, they announced this Tuesday (17) that they decided to amicably end professional and business relations.
“The parties follow their professional activities independently, with elegance and the maximum respect that has always marked the partnership”, says the note from the singer’s advisory, which did not reveal why Sirena stopped taking care of the king’s career.
With the departure of Sirena, the management of Roberto Carlos’ career and all his businesses is now carried out by Grupo RC. “The commitments and shows already signed will be carried out normally and the transition to this new format will take place until October 2023”, says the artist’s team without ruling out future business with Sirena. “Future business between the parties will be considered on a case-by-case basis.”
The duo’s partnership began in 1992 when Roberto hired Sirena to tour the south of the country. After that, the two started working together and the businessman was responsible for closing contracts for the king’s grandiose events, such as shows in Jerusalem and Las Vegas, as well as the singer’s partnerships with Luciano Pavarotti and Jennifer Lopez.
