A play by actor Antônio Fagundes became a police case last Saturday (14) after he barred 50 spectators who arrived late to watch the show “Baixa Therapy”, on display at Teatro Clara Nunes, in Shopping da Gávea, in the south zone of Rio.
According to the newspaper O Globo, late spectators threatened officials who did not allow entry and explained that they would have to buy tickets for another day. The group made noise, the play was interrupted and the police were called to contain the riot outside the theater.
Rebellious spectators just didn’t carefully read the message written on the ticket warning about the requirement of punctuality – a rule adopted by the artist four decades ago. “The show starts strictly at the scheduled time and entry is not allowed after the start, with no exchange of tickets and/or refunds”, says the message.
After the confusion, Fagundes told the newspaper O Globo that he remains firm and strong in the rigid position that the start time of the play must be respected so as not to disturb other people. “I even feel uncomfortable talking about it, because it’s like we have to explain to people what the word ‘begins’ means”, explained the actor, who has been through a similar situation a few years ago with a delayed audience. in Portugal.
