Alok gives a gift of his own hair to a child with cancer

DJ Alok and doctor Romana Novais, his wife, surprised a young cancer patient on Wednesday (22). In collaboration with the NGO Cabelegria, the girl Gigi received a wig made from the musician’s own hair.

Romana shared in her Instagram stories the moment of delivery and the girl’s reaction, with permission from her mother, Dami Eduarda. “[A criança] she doesn’t know she’s going to get this wig, she’s here at the salon for a day of beauty with her mother,” he said.

The girl, who shaved her hair as a result of her medical treatment, asked her mother for a wig as a Christmas present. Upon welcoming her to her family, Gigi’s mouth dropped open, smiling.

In addition to the hairs from Alok, who cut the hair he had allowed to grow during the isolation, other people who donated to Cabelegria collaborated with the surprise. The DJ’s hairdresser, Rosangela Araújo, also participated.

“Gigi was very happy!! And we even more to be able to bring a little joy this Christmas to this little girl who is such a warrior”, wrote Romana on the social network. “Hair tells a story, right? And yours is a victory, Gigi!”

Happy with the new look, the little one even wanted to record a fun TikTok with Romana “hair-banging”. “The world is yours, little one! There is a lot to live and discover yet”, concluded the doctor.
