Singer Liam Gallagher, 50, wrote a Twitter post on Wednesday saying his brother, singer Noel, 55, had called “begging forgiveness” and wanting to meet. Founders of Oasis, they haven’t spoken since 2009 when they fought and broke up the band.
“I just got RKID on the phone begging for forgiveness, blessing, wanting to meet, what does Dya think, meet or fuck him?” the separation from wife Sarah McDonald after 12 years of marriage.
“You couldn’t wait to post this tweet I’m at the movies I’m going to watch ‘Avatar’ for 3+ hours you have the worst time” @cuntological.
The netizen @ sadierodgers8 criticized Liam saying that Noel is going through a delicate moment, that life is short and he needs the support of his older brother. “I hope he sees your tweet and realizes you haven’t changed.”
In August of this year, it will be 14 years since Noel announced, in a statement, that he was leaving the band because he “simply could not continue working with Liam one more day”. Over the years, the brothers refused reconciliation.
Noel said in a recent interview with BBC Radio Manchester that he will not say “never” about an Oasis reunion. But, he said, an extraordinary set of circumstances would need to happen for the group to come together again. “That’s not to say those circumstances would never happen.”
