Chris Hemsworth recently revealed that he is taking a break from acting after discovering that he has an alarmingly high predisposition to Alzheimer’s disease. During the filming of the documentary series “Limitless”, which he presents, he discovered that he carries two copies of a gene that is extremely closely related to Alzheimer’s disease.

As the doctor who performed the actor’s genetic tests reported, only 3% of the population has this particular double copy of the gene, which increases the risk of developing the disease by 8-10%.
