Michael Keaton is set to reprise his role as Batman – and Bruce Wayne – in the second film in DC’s Extended Universe, “Batgirl.”
According to THR, Michael Keaton will once again present his own version of “The Crusader with the Cloak”, which premiered in Tim Burton’s 1989 film Batman and again in the 1992 “Batman Returns”.
The upcoming movie “Batgirl”, which will premiere exclusively on HBO Max, will focus on the favorite character of the fans, Barbara Gordon, as she becomes a superhero.
The film, which is already in the production of Barbara Gordon, will star Leslie Grace, who starred in this year’s “In The Heights”.
J. Mr Simmons will play Barbara’s father, Commissioner Jim Gordon. Simmons previously played Gordon in Jacques Snyder’s “Justice League.” Brendan Fraser has also been cast in an unknown role.
“Batgirl” is directed by “Bad Boys For Life Adil El Arbi” and “Bilall Fallah” with Christina Hodgson (Birds Of Prey, The Flash) in the script and Christine Bour in the production.
