Dhiovanna Barbosa, 20, sister of player Gabigol, published a video last Friday (24th) apologizing for saying that “Santista doesn’t come out tidy”.
The statement, posted on Instagram’s Stories last week, was not well received by the influencer’s fans. In the video, Dhiovanna appears saying that people in the city of Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, are “loose”.
“People don’t go out so dressed up, so I’m always very dressed up, and people, like, more good, you know? In flip flops, dropped, or with the clothes they wore like seven times in a row in the same hangout,” he said .
After the statement, she was criticized by netizens for the way she referred to the residents. On Friday (24), she recorded new videos in which she apologizes for the way she expressed herself. “If I hurt you in any way, I apologize,” says Dhiovanna in the video.
The influencer says she wasn’t bothered by the negative repercussions on her speech, but that her concerned fans had asked her to talk to followers to explain what had happened. “I didn’t mean anything mean. So I’m doing it here for my fans, who are trying to help me,” he says.
She completes saying that many people were offended, but that at no time did she mean that “people are poor”.
“I expressed myself wrongly, really. I wanted to say that, because I’m from Santos, and here it’s on the coast, people wear more flip-flops, shorts, people don’t dress up, for example, like in São Paulo, people go out in heels for lunch.” He also states that “hate is not resolved with hate” and ends by saying that he no longer wants to talk about the subject.
