Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts will join forces to star in a Max Barbakov film in which they will “swap bodies”. According to Deadline, Amazon won the film after a bidding war from various studios and streaming platforms.
Margot Robbie’s production company LuckyChap Entertainment will produce the film alongside Julia Roberts’ Red Om Films and Jennifer Aniston’s Echo Films.
Max Barbakov will write the script and direct the film, but the plot, title and release date are still unknown.
Best known for directing the film “Palm Springs” starring Andy Samberg and Kristin Miliotti, Barbakov finally sold the 2020 comedy to Neon and Hulu after it won a record number of awards at the Sundance Film Festival.
Four-time Oscar nominee Julia Roberts she won Best Actress for ‘Erin Brockovich’ in 2001 and has received Emmys for ‘The Normal Heart’ and ‘Law & Order’.
Jennifer Aniston won an Emmy Award for her role as Rachel in the series “Friends”. She has also won awards for her roles on ’30 Rock’ and ‘The Morning Show’.
Roberts and Aniston last worked together in the 2016 film Mother’s Day. At the film’s premiere, Aniston confessed that she felt intimidated by Roberts’ presence.
