Talks with Harry ‘broken off at last minute’ said – ‘Saturday Night Live’ has targeted the royal family in the past

From a prince … rather than a bit of a presenter. The reason for Prince Harry who was in discussions in 2022 to present the historical American satirical show “Saturday Night Live”!

According to reports, producers of the NBC late-night show had begun discussions with Harry last year, ahead of the release of his memoir Spare in January this year.

“I know Harry was on board, he was very serious about doing it – and it would be a lot of fun as a way to promote the book,” a source told PageSix. Another source added: “There are always a lot of names in the pipeline but Harry it was definitely a name that was discussed.”

According to the report, it remains unclear why it didn’t work out, but talks with Harry are said to have “broken off at the last minute”. Neither Harry nor SNL reps have commented on the report.

Prince Harry, son of the United Kingdom’s King Charles III and his first wife, Princess Diana, has made numerous television appearances to promote his memoir, including interviews on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” “60 Minutes” and in an ITV special.

“Saturday Night Live” has targeted her royal family in the past. Fred Armisen has appeared as Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom in sketches alongside Bill Hunter as Prince Philip.

In last week’s episode, James Austin Johnson and Devon Walker as British rappers Milly Pounds and Shirty rapped about Prince Harry during Weekend Update.

Saturday Night Live is the longest running comedy show in America. Almost every celebrity has appeared on “Saturday Night Live,” and there are very few Hollywood actors who haven’t hosted at least once.
