The producers of the movie “Rust” have hired a new director of photography and plan to resume filming in the spring despite manslaughter charges against the star and producer Alec Baldwinon the death of the filmmaker Halina Hutchins during filming, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Additionally, a documentary about Hutchins’ life and work will be produced by Rust Movie Productions to “showcase the brilliance and depth of her talent, while conveying what her loss means to her friends, colleagues and for the entire film industry,” the production company said in a statement. The late filmmaker’s husband will serve as an executive producer on both projects.

“As bittersweet as it is, I’m grateful that a brilliant and dedicated new production team along with the cast and crew are committed to finishing what Halina and I started,” director Joel Souza told The Hollywood Reporter.

Baldwin will remain in his starring role along with Bianca Klein, who took over as director of photography. According to the publication, the production will not use firearms during filming.
