Singer Zé Neto does not hide his admiration for the floats that cross the Anhembi Sambadrome, in São Paulo, during the early hours of Saturday (18). In the stands at Camarote Bar Brahma, he smiles, points at the revelers and indicates the fantasies and floats he likes most for his wife, businesswoman Natália Toscano.

“We came from very humble, very simple families, and we were never able to participate [dos desfiles]. Today is the first time that I have the opportunity to fulfill my wife’s dream, which was to participate in Carnival in São Paulo”, she explains to F5.

“It’s a very beautiful thing to see. I think everyone who’s here looks at it and can’t imagine the work that a samba school has to present this. We’ve always seen it on television, and today I’m having the opportunity to see it live “, continues, saying that he made a point of not scheduling any show next to the first day of parades at Anhembi.

The sertanejo, who partners with Cristiano, says he prefers not to direct his fans to a single school. “I’m rooting for all of them, right? I don’t want to be neutral, but they all have their merits. It’s up to the judge to decide, and ideally the best one should win. But, for me, they’re all perfect.”

Supporter of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and one of the central characters of what became known last year as the “CPI of the sertanejo”, Zé Neto defends that everyone hope for the best for the country, even those who feel upset by the current government.

“[Na] politics, voting is secret and everyone has their own opinion. I made mine [escolha], and each has its own. I think that’s why voting is democratic. We live in a democratic country, and each one expresses their right”, he says.

“It’s not because the [candidato] that you don’t like won, that you have to root against. I root for the best and for Brazil”, he continues. “And long live the Brazilian. That people who have difficulty are treated well, regardless of politics.”
