Harry Styles, 29, drew attention during the show he held on Monday (20) in Perth, Australia. He decided to follow a local tradition and ended up sharing opinions on social media, where the video ended up going viral (check it out below).
The British singer made a gesture known as “The Shoey”, which consists of using his own shoe to drink some liquid. He tried to answer the request of fans who shouted “your turn” to him from the audience and, of course, the moment was filmed by several people.
Before drinking the liquid he put inside the sneakers he was wearing, he was still upset. “That’s the most disgusting tradition I’ve ever seen,” he joked.
Popular in Australia, the tradition can also be done using someone else’s footwear. The drink is introduced into the opening where we normally place the foot and then the shoe is turned in the mouth. Usually, it is made with beer, but nothing prevents you from using another drink – the driver Daniel Ricciardo, for example, usually makes it with sparkling wine in celebrations of his victories in Formula 1.
The video of Harry drinking straight from the tennis court left netizens in two directions. While some found the situation amusing and supported the Australian fan appreciation, others found the video disgusting and asked them to stop reposting the footage.
