Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath will release his autobiography titled “Into The Void – From Birth to Black Sabbath – and Beyond” in June.

The Black Sabbath bassist, co-founder and main songwriter announced that he is writing his memoirs in 2021, telling cleveland.com: “When my parents died, I always wished I had asked them to learn a lot more about them than I did. .. I started writing my memoirs for my grandchildren to read and it was fun to bring back the old days, growing up in Birmingham and all that.’

The book will be released on June 8 by HarperCollins.

“With over 70 million records sold, heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath are one of the most important bands of all time. From the beginning, Geezer Butler has been at the heart of their success, being the bass behind their distinctive sound and writing the lyrics that have resonated so much with their fans around the world,” reads the HarperCollins announcement.

‘Into The Void’ is the third book written by a member of the classic, original lineup of Black Sabbath. His memoirs Ozzy Osbourne “I Am Ozzy” was released in 2009 and in 2011 Tony Iommi’s autobiographical book “Iron Man: My Journey through Heaven and Hell with Black Sabbath” was published.
