Oscars ‘Rambos’ will step into action at this year’s awards ceremony to handle any unforeseen events
After last year’s “Oscar” slap of Will Smith to Chris Rock and unexpected incidents that happen from time to time at the awards, the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences decided this year to do something to avoid similar scenes.
So a ‘crisis team’ – sort of like the Rambo of the Oscars – has been set up to take action at this year’s Academy Awards ceremony to handle any unforeseen events.

Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences chief executive Bill Cramer said the new group has “run a lot of scenarios” in hopes of being “prepared for anything” that might happen at the March 12 gala hosted by the American comedian Jimmy Kimmel.
“We have an entire crisis team, which we’ve never had before, and a lot of plans in place to prevent a fiasco,” Bill Cramer told TIME magazine.
