Meet Dudu and Manu, Tik Tok’s most ‘shipped’ couple

It’s easy to mention famous couples who formed in soap operas, movies or were simply seen together, catching the attention of fans. But among Tik Tok users, joining a couple through the network generates much more engagement. That’s what happened to Dudu and Manu, two young people from the network’s fitness niche. Manu told F5 what this story will lead to.

Manuela Cit is 19 years old and is a student in Curitiba. In parallel, she makes videos about healthy living for Tik Tok. She shares her regimented routine, with healthy eating and daily workouts to more than 1 million followers.

In January 2023, she saw her love life almost invaded by the internet when she came across a video of a girl introducing her brother, Dudu. “Hi Manu, this is my brother Dudu. He really wants to know if one day you want to go train with him. He thinks you’re very beautiful”, says Duda, the sister.

Dudu is Eduardo Godinho, 19, also a student, in Florianópolis. After the viral video, Dudu also started his Tiktoker career. The phenomenon was so great that the first video on the profile has 8 million views and the channel has 5 million likes.

Internet users mobilized for Manu to see the video and give it a chance. “I got to the point where I’m rooting more for Dudu and Manu than for myself”, wrote user Thalles Dinarte on Twitter. Manu told the F5 who saw the video early on, but it was only when fans took the names to Trending Topics that she responded, recording a video with her father, who “authorized” the meeting.

Dudu went to Curitiba to train with Manu. The meeting yielded 6 videos for her account and 4 for his, gathering around 15 million views and many interactions on the networks. Fans went wild when the two trained and had dinner together, all beautifully captured by each of their personal cameras.

And then… Dudu returned to Florianopolis and Manu stayed in Curitiba. According to her, the two talk a lot, but for now they are just friends. “I like to get to know people very well before getting involved,” she says, adding that it’s too early to define the future.

Last Friday (24th), Dudu and Manu created suspense by sharing —in the midst of a marketing action— that they were going to travel. Without revealing the destination or the company, both said only that they would find someone special. It was the second time they had seen each other in person.
